Over the years I have gained a considerable experience in dealing with major challenges in obstetrics and gynecology. My Strengths include wealthy clinical experience, hardworking, effective communication, leadership skill and the ability to work in a team.As my plan is to continue providing high standard care for my patients, I am committed to personal and professional development by regularly attending educational activities that promote professional developments and practices. I am particularly interested and proficient in dealing with high risk pregnancies, vaginal and operative deliveries as well as dealing with most of the common gynaecological problems and women health in general. I also have the responsibility of working as a coordinator of cervical cancer screening program conducted by Abu Dhabi Health Authority and I would like to be more involved in quality and safety management in health care. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE DETAILS: Gulf Diagnostic Center Hospital (GDCH): Since June 2011, I work at the GDCH as a Consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, I have a busy clinic where I take consultation and deal with all obstetrics and gynecological problems as well as female gynecological aesthetic issues. I also provide coverage to the emergency department for obstetric and gynecological emergency cases. GDCH operating theatres are fully equipped to deal with most of the elective and emergency gynecological surgeries. Beside I have the privilege to use AL Noor hospital and BrightPoint hospital facilities to conduct the normal and operative deliveries and other surgical procedures. Corniche Hospital: Consultant: Since August 2009 I was working as an Acting Consultant. I covered Al Rahba Hospital in a secondment for the month of August 2009. During the one month tenure at Al Rahba hospital I was in charge of the whole unit as the only Consultant. I handled the department on calls and provided constant cover to the Specialists and Medical Practitioners on daily basis. My responsibilities also included covering the high risk clinics, daily ward rounds and covering the operating theatre. In Al Rahba Hospital I initiated regular educational activities and implemented new protocols. I also motivated the obstetricians to make the department policies and guidelines which suit their hospital and community. I continued my role as an Acting Consultant at Corniche hospital. I was in charge of a team of Senior Specialists, Specialists and Medical Practitioners. My responsibilities included looking after my team patients and doctors and taking all the major decisions in emergency and elective situations. I also ran a weekly operation list which includes major obstetric and gynecological surgeries. I was also involved in educational activities of the team and supervision of the junior doctors in their training, appraisals, privileging, duty roaster, annual leaves, and also writing reports and handling patients’ complaints. During which I received extensive training in outpatient department in follow up of patents with different cardiac diseases, in follow up of critically ill patients in CCU and in non invasive cardiac assessment techniques and in the cath lab. Made admission recommendations and managed critically ill cardiac patients and involved in various cardiac lab and ICU procedures. Also, received training in establishment of central venous axis, arterial access for continuous pressure monitoring, and insertion for Swan Ganz catheter for monitoring pulmonary capillary wedge pressure. Received training in performing pericardiocentesis, endotracheal intubation, basic and advanced cardiac life support as well as basic mechanical ventilation principals.

He is also assigned as a Consultant of Urology in UAE at advanced center for day care surgery (ACDS). graduated in Medicine from Cairo University in 1978 and spent his residency at Kaser El Ini Hospital ( Cairo University ) where he obtained MSc in urology. moved to Paris in 1981 where he obtained M.D. and PHD in Urology in 1986 at Mansoura and Paris Universities . He was assigned as a Consultant and lecturer of Urology at Urology and Nephrology Center Mansoura University in 1986. He was promoted as a Professor of Urology there since 1998 till now. training in General and Pediatric Urology in Egypt ( Cairo and Mansoura Universities ) as well as in Paris ( La Pitie Salpiteriera and Troussou Hospitals ). He continued his training in Pediatric Urology in Sweden in 1988. Dr. Magdi has a good experience in General Urology and in particular in Pediatric and female Urology. He has also experienced in Andrology both in fertility and impotence. He has more than 50 international publications and has special interests in congenital anomalies, neurogenic bladder, female urinary incontinence, and urethral stricture. He has also a good experience in Urinary stones, Uro- oncology and obstructive uropathy as well as penile prosthesis.
